Books 2-7 in the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon

While reading books has been a very important part of my life for the past 2-3 years and I have always been a huge book lover, search I’ve taken it to a new level recently. I don’t always read as much as I’d like, but I’ve got time scheduled into almost every day to read. I do take a break sometimes on the weekend evenings so that I can enjoy a movie with my husband or spend time with friends and family, but weekdays after Neylan goes to bed, BELONG TO ME!

Starting at about, 7 or 8 depending on what else needs to be done or when Neylan falls alseep, I sit on the couch and start my journey to another world.

I’m very lucky to have such an amazing husband who supports me in my efforts to read. It was his idea to get me  an eReader about 3 years ago and his hard work on OpenDyslexic has made it so much easier for me to read. We did a load of research to see which would be best for my reading style. In the end we got a Sony PRS-300 for my first reader. We recently updated me to a Sony PRS-T1, which is clearly better than the T2 (in my honest opinion).  No, it’s not a Kindle, but I didn’t want a Kindle because my needs were different. I’m thankful that Sony has brought some competition to the market, especially because it benefits me. I love the fact that I can have ALL of my books on a miniSD card. I love the e ink screen. I love that with a few hacks I can read any epub in OpenDyslexic.

Me, with my Sony PRS-T1 running OpenDyslexic. In case you are wonering, the book I'm reading in the picture is from the Outlander Series. The font is enlarged to show it off. :)

Since March 2012, I have read 28 books. Most of which were over 1,000 pages.

So… don’t be surprised if you see more book related posts on here. It’ll be hard for me to write them, because I don’t normally critique books or write much about them, but at the same time I guess I do… in the form of quotes and thoughts…

What am I reading now? Neil Gaiman’s Stardust. I’ll write something up on it when I am done.
