I know that it has been a while since we have written. There has been a lot going on… and now that we can hear our little one cry the Mommy and the Daddy are over whenever he starts.
We are doing fairly well… We got a late start. But I guess that is normal considering that we haven’t been going to bed early and I am pumping every 2-3 hours.
David’s House is such a blessing. Today they had a picnic. I think that most of the parents were out visiting their babies/children in the hospital, but there were plenty of staff from the hospital visiting with their grandchildren and children. I think that it was also a bit of a fundraiser.
I had the chance to talk to a staff member from the hospital. She thought that I was one of the volunteers. I wish! ^_^ But I was able to tell her about my little boy, his progress, and our hopes of having him home in a few weeks.
It is hard to believe that it has already been a week since his surgery. He is doing really well for the most part. The only things that I am not too fond of are that he is throwing up the milk I pumped, but they said that could be because the narcotics are wearing off. The other is the leakage… his booboos have been leaking. It was worse yesterday than it is today, so that is a praise.
They were a little concerned about his catheters. The one that is directly in his bladder and coming out his abdomin stopped leaking, but the other one coming out the natural exit was not being used. When they openned it up urine came out. They seemed pretty happy about that.
^_^ I am hoping to get Daddy to write an update soon. So sorry it took so long to get this one up. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND WELL WISHES. He’s doing very well and I will be trying to get pics up soon.
