Another oldie…

Today I was reading Proverbs 2:1-5. I have read this passage before but it has hit me between the eyes again. The last verse mainly: “Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, unhealthy cialis sale and find the knowledge of God.” (vs.5 KJV)

How can we understand the fear of the LORD? His ways are above our ways many say… I don’t disagree. His ways are above ours, yet in His Word He tells us how to “understand the fear of the Lord”.

Vs 1: Receive the Words~> Read God’s Word

Hide my commandments with thee~> Memorize Scripture and meditate on it.

Vs. 2: Incline thine ear~> LISTEN to the preaching of God’s Word.

Apply thine heart~> Don’t be a listener only but a doer also! (James 1:22-25)

Vs. 3: Criest after knowledge~> Beg for the understanding from God.

Liftest up thy voice~> Pretty much the same as “criest”. PRAY!

Vs. 4: Seek as silver~> Do you remember the woman that lost a very precious coin? And how happy she was when she found it. She threw a party to celebrate. We need to seek wisdom like we work for money.

Search as for hid treasures~> Remember being a child on a scavenger hunt? I do. We had Easter egg hunts every year while my mother’s aunt Marion was alive. She planned the best Easter egg hunts. There were some of the eggs that were out in the open and some that we had to look extra careful for… I sometimes think that we can compare that to how God is with us. He gives us a taste of wisdom… keeping it out in the open, then there are some things that He hides and expects us to ask Him to show us.

As James 1:5 says if we ask for WISDOM, He will give it to us liberally!

Love in Christ,
